The Philippine Community Council of New South Wales Inc. (PCC NSW Inc.) was established to have a voice and to act as a representative body of the Philippine Australian community in New South Wales.
The idea was nurtured by a group of Filipino Australians in Sydney. An interim committee was formed with Sennie Masian as convenor and assisted by Dux Maniquis,Evelyn Zaragosa, Lucy Jumawan and Linda Swords. Marina Ruivivar, who was responsible for the establishment of the Filipino Community Council of Victoria assisted in setting up PCC NSW.
PCC NSW Inc. is an affiliate of the Filipino Communitiies Council of Australia (FILCCA), the national peak body of Filipino Australian associations. FILCCA was formally organised in early 1990.
